1.12.1. Save a Presentation for PowerPoint 97-2003 or Other Format
Click the Office button, and then point to Save As, and then click Other Formats.
Click the Save as type list arrow, and then click the file format you want. Click Save.
1.12.2. Save a Presentation for PowerPoint 2007
Click the Office button, point to Save As, and then click PowerPoint Presentation.
Type a presentation file name. Click Save.
1.12.3. Convert a PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation to PowerPoint 2007
Open the PowerPoint 97-2003 presentation.
Click the Office button, and then click Convert.
Click OK to convert the file to new PowerPoint 2007 format.
PowerPoint exits compatibility mode.
1.12.4. Save a Slide as a Graphic Image
Click the Office button, point to Save As, and then click Other Formats.
Click the Save as type list arrow, and then click the graphics format you want to use (i.e. .jpeg or .gif).
Type a file name. Click Save.
Click Every Slide to save all slides as separate graphic image files. Click Current Slide Only to save just the current slide.
1.12.5. Save a Presentation as an Outline
Click the Office menu, point to Save As, and then click Other Formats.
Click the Save as type list arrow, and then click Outline/RTF.
Type the file name. Click Save.

1.12.7. Set Save Options
Click the Office button, and then click PowerPoint Options.
In the left pane, click Save.
Set Default Save Format.
Set Default File Location.
1.12.8. Embed TrueType Fonts in a Presentation
Click the Office button, and then click PowerPoint Options.
In the left pane, click Save.
Click Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation,
and then select the presentation.
Select the Embed fonts in the file check box.
Click the option:Embed only the characters used in the presentation. Embed all characters.
Click OK.
1.12.9. Save a Presentation as a PowerPoint Show
Click the Office button, point to Save As, and then click PowerPoint Show.
Type a presentation show file name. Click PowerPoint Show or PowerPoint Macro-Enabled Show.
Click Save.
1.12.10. To package a presentation for CD
Office button | Publish | Package for CD.
In the Name the CD box, type the name.
If you have supporting files, click Add Files.
To tell PowerPoint how to run your packaged presentation. Click Options
Click Close.
1.12.11. To tell PowerPoint the default file type and location to save
Choose Office button|PowerPoint Options|Save.
In the "Save presentations", click "Save files in this format" and choose the file type.
In the "Default save location" box, type the full file path.
When you finish, click OK.
